A new sensor has been developed that will measure current
non-invasively. The key to the performance of this new
sensor is a series of planer magnetic coils placed in
a specified layout around the conductor.
The magnetic field created by the current in the conductor
induces a voltage in the magnetic coils, which is proportional
to the magnetic field of the conductor. With an integrating
amplifier attached, the current flowing through the conductor
can be determined.
